If you have never had the pleasure of visiting WonderWorks I highly recommend you plan your visit as soon as possible! A few years ago I went to WonderWorks in Myrtle Beach, and it was a blast. I only had about two hours to visit (which isn’t nearly long enough), and I knew I wanted to go back when I had the time.
Thankfully when we vacationed in Orlando in June, we had an opportunity to visit as a family, and I was excited because I knew the kids would be amazed. WonderWorks are unlike any other attraction I have ever experienced. The first thing that always comes to mind is the bed of nails. Never before would I have imagined that I would ever lie on a bed of nails, but with WonderWorks anything is a possibility.
I think my children did a little of everything that day. They experienced the winds of a hurricane, the shake of an earthquake, and they even rode virtual roller coasters. The boys enjoyed the thrilling attractions while the girls played the floor piano and invisible harp.
My only regret was forgetting about the tennis shoe policy for the rope course. If you visit Orlando or Myrtle Beach, they each have a rope course on the top floor where you can walk on beams and ropes high above the visitors. Unfortunately, most of us were wearing flip flops, so no one got to experience the ropes course that day.
If you plan a visit to WonderWorks, make sure you allow yourself at least 3-4 hours so you can spend time on every floor. You can even plan to have lunch on the site if you don’t have a chance to grab a meal before you go.
WonderWorks is a great attraction for families of all ages, and I’m sure everyone will enjoy playing the day away at both locations.
