St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece

Easy-St-Pattys-Day-Centerpiece

When I set out to create this Easy St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece, I already had a picture of the St. Patrick’s placemats and napkin rings in mind. This made planning for the centerpiece much easier because I had a general idea of what I was looking for before I left the house.  I headed back to Hobby Lobby (they know me by name now) to accomplish my newest crafting mission. I couldn’t wait to finish these projects and complete my first St. Patrick’s Day Table.

My ultimate goal with every craft set I complete is to create something that anyone can make, on a very tight budget. While creating your own holiday decoration can be loads of fun, it can also get very expensive. With that in mind I always do my best to design easy to replicate craft projects that are also affordable.

This centerpiece only took about 15 minutes to complete and cost around $16.50

St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece Supplies:

2-Green Straw Picks $1.49 each

2- Lime Green Spiral Picks $2.99 each

1- Mason Jar $1.09 at 50% 0ff

1-Pkg. St. Patrick’s Day Coins $2.09 at 30% off

1- 3” x 2” white Styrofoam White Cone at 6 for $6.99 or $1.17 each

1-roll Ribbon Boutique 7/8 “ x 15 ft. Sparkle Gold Ribbon $1.99 at 50% off

Then I added this:

1 scrap Ribbon Boutique Ribbon 2.5” Champagne about 6” long

Glue Gun and Glue

How To Make A St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece:

1) Stick your Floral Picks into the Styrofoam cone.

2) Cover the Styrofoam cone with the scrap of Champagne ribbon so that the bottom of the picks don’t show in the jar and secure the ribbon with hot glue.

3) You will want to glue the Styrofoam cone with the Floral picks in it to the bottom of the Mason jar so it won’t tip over.

4) Drop your St. Patrick’s Day Coins in one at a time while turning the jar so that the Styrofoam cone so covered completely.

5) Glue a strip of ribbon to the top of the mason jar.

6) Glue a bow to the ribbon and you’re done!

That’s all it takes to create this fun, fast, affordable St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece! Be sure to check out my St. Patrick’s Day Table here.

I have to admit, this is the first year that I have even attempted to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day. I honestly didn’t think I could afford it until I tried making my own decorations.  Not only could I afford it, but I had a great time making these projects!!  I hate to admit it, but I think this is becoming a holiday addiction. 😉

I made these tonight for our St. Patrick's Day party tomorrow night...they look great! Made 6 of them to place in different rooms. Love them! The only challenge I had was gluing the Styrofoam to the bottom of the jar. Elmer's Glue didn't cut it. I used duct tape, which wasn't great either, but it was better than nothing. Overall -- love them!!!!

Yay! Yes, hot glue was the only thing that worked for me, but I'm glad you love them. I would love to see a picture. If you want, you can add it to our facebook page and I will share it with our readers. You can also email me at shasta@faithfullyfree.com and I can share it. Thank you for checking out our tutorial! I hope your party is amazing! Have fun!
