If you are looking for a fabulous Resort in Maine, look no further than the Rhumb Line Resort. It offers excellent amenities and is open year-round.
It is located in beautiful Kennebunkport, where the beaches have been included in the top 10 beaches in America. It also is the home of the Bush Compound.
The heated indoor pool is the most significant asset for a family in this resort.
We were in it every night after dinner, and it was a great way to burn off some energy in the kids right before bedtime.
Also, I love how kids 16 and younger stay free! Excellent for myself since my kids are only 19 months and 4 years old.

The Rhumb Line Resort offers the most extensive resort facilities in the Kennebunks. We have indoor and outdoor heated pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and an extensive fitness facility. All the facilities, including the outdoor spa, stay open year-round except for the outdoor pool, which is open from mid-May – mid-October.
The staffs are great and friendly at the Rhumb Line!
They make small talk and even interact with the kids. I had a problem, which I’ll get into more in the next paragraph, and they were racking their brains trying to help me!
Also, I found out that many of the people in Maine are overall more friendly. Much more so than you’ll find in NY. Haha.
Okay, my problem.
I’m the only one that has had this problem in the past 25 years.
My 19-month-old son could escape the room.
There is no bolt or latch-up high, so I could lock it.
Kind of super stressful because I couldn’t relax. He would be at the door and down the hallway lickety-split.
Finally, we figured out to lay a suitcase in front of the door, and he would stand on it and play with the handle but couldn’t open it. So beware of that if you have young kids and you know the solution to the problem.
UPDATE:
We just got this comment from Rhumb Line Resort: “Because of the door issue, we have ordered security latches for all of the doors.

Now if that doesn’t show you how much they care about families, I don’t know what does!!
We had such a wonderful time.
And the price is just right for that time of the year.
The shops and restaurants around the area are the best, and Portland, Maine, is about 30 minutes away.
Great place to get away from it all and have some downtime. We will be going next year. We had such a great time!
