This post Retale: My New Favorite Shopping App is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.
Sometimes technology is an amazing thing and other times I miss the good ole’ days when things were still printed on paper, and I could look forward to getting mail EVERY day! Two weeks ago I was looking over the kid’s school supply list and trying to figure out if it would be a waste of time to shop multiple stores. Not so many years ago I would have enjoyed having a big stack of shoppers or store flyers to go through, but those days are long gone.
Now you have to pay for the newspaper if you want to get any store advertisements and let’s be honest, I am already paying for the news, it’s called internet and cable fees. I was getting frustrated because as I visited each website, I quickly realized that you couldn’t just find the sales paper anymore either. Nope, they are hidden if they are even available because they have so many different marketing tactics. They have both online and offline deals and subscriber deals and this and that and by the end of my twenty-minute journey into the shopping twilight zone I was seriously contemplating homeschooling all four children just so I never have to leave the house again or worry about saving money on school supplies.
I did end up shopping that day, but I did the same thing I always do. I went to one store and dropped over $200, even though I know there were deals to be had, and I hate missing a deal.
Cue the music people because I’m about to share something with you that is going to change your life and mine!
That’s right! Someone out there was sick and tired of missing out on deals, but instead of taking it in the wallet, they did something about it and created this ridiculously awesome app called Retale!
Retale: My New Favorite Shopping App:
Retale is an app that does everything but the shopping (okay, it doesn’t pay either). This app is seriously my new BFF because it lets me choose my favorite stores, then gives me access to all of the flyers my little heart desires! How awesome is that? They are neatly organized all in one digital space which means no trees have to die, and I still get to save money. Everyone wins!
Retale Local Ads:
You get all of the ads you want to see from your favorite stores: Ace Hardware, Babies R Us, Belk, Best Buy, Big Lots, Bon-Ton Stores: (Carson Pirie Scott, Bergner’s, Younkers, and Herbergers) Cabela’s, Car Car Quest, Cricket Wireless, CVS, Dell, Denny’s, Farm Fresh, Food Lion, hh gregg, Hot Topic, JCPenney ,Lazy Boy, Lenovo, Macy’s, Meijer, Menards, Shoe Carnival, Sleepy’s, Staples, Target, Verizon, Walmart, and so many more.
I know what you may be thinking, okay so you get to see store ads, big deal, what else can it do? Well, let me show you!
Retale Shopping List:
Once you start looking through the ads for your favorite stores, you can click on the push pin and add items to your shopping list. This is an awesome tool because the shopping list is one main list that shows you the list as a whole and has the store icon beside each item on the list! That means if you are shopping for school supplies and find that markers are cheaper at CVS you will know that you know where you need to purchase them when you are shopping from your phone without having to go back and forth between ads! The only thing I would like to see added to this feature is prices! That way you can total your shopping list. You can click through your list at any time to go back to the ad though, so it’s pretty simple to use!
Are you a department store shopper? If you are, there’s a good chance you love a good 20% off coupon! Many times you can print these coupons before you leave the house or if you’re lucky and live close enough they will mail them to you, but with Retale you can actually clip these coupons and keep them in the coupon section of the app then when you’re in the store you can just whip out the app and BAM! Savings at your fingertips!
As a military wife, I love that this app also has a store locator built in because I hardly ever know where anything is until I’ve lived in a place for at least a few months so I know I’ll get a lot of use out of the GPS feature as well!
If you love to save, you should check out the Retale app before you take spend another dime! Your bank account will be glad you did! 😉
