My boys have been playing Minecraft for a few years now. We have it on every device in the house. While the game is customizable in many different ways, I can tell that it’s starting to get old. They have been looking for something similar for a while now, and I think we finally found it! My Dream is a role player game, where players can create their own world, while playing games and collaborating with other users.
Take a look at this preview video to get a better idea of what My Dream is all about:
As you can see, every time you log in you have a different experience as users create new worlds, buildings, and adventures for others to share in. This is great for users who are easily bored when playing the same types of games over and over again. The possibilities are truly endless, when everyone works together.
With games like scavenger hunts and geocaching the gamers in your home will be challenged to work with others and use their imagination and creativity for the good of the online community. While many would argue that children could make better use of their time, games like My Dream help build real world skills that can be used in a variety of careers and real life situations. Collaborating with others to make this game fresh and enjoyable could be compared to working in a marketing office and brainstorming for a new ad campaign. While I don’t promote 24 hour game play in my home, I do believe that games like My Dream are a valuable tool for my children.
My Dream worlds are completely modifiable, which means your child can create a world all their own. My children love it when I watch them play, and I love seeing their creativity come to life on the screen. Which brings me to one of my favorite aspects of My Dream in comparison to their current favorite game Minecraft….. The graphics! I love the realistic feel of My Dream. It’s colorful, but not overly bold and bright like some video games my kids play. It has a realistic look and feel, which makes it much more enjoyable to watch.
My Dream is currently running a KickStarter Campaign. If you would like to support My Dream, you can learn more here. This KickStarter ends on Friday, so be sure to act now.
You can get the Beat version of My Dream for $5 and you can expect the retail version to retail for about $29.99. I will be giving away 10 download codes via my blog and social media so be sure to leave a comment below to enter.
