If you have been reading this blog for a few years, you know that I am obsessed with two types of clothing. Workout clothes and dresses! It is all I can do to keep myself from pulling my spring and summer clothes out of the attic on the first warm day of the year. Of course, if you live in North Carolina, you know that one warm day doesn’t mean a thing. North Carolina is a state where you can get a sunburn one day and frostbite the next. Today I want to share some Andrew Marc dresses that I absolutely adore! Oh, and in case you are wondering, I finally gave myself permission to pull the clothes out. Hopefully, by now, the cold weather is behind us.
At this point, I have gone through all of my old spring and summer clothes and managed to get the ones that I will keep this year washed and in the closet. As for the rest… they are in bags to be donated today. I did some shopping last week, but since my new low-carb lifestyle has left me dropping pounds like last nights leftovers, I decided to shop thrift stores. There is nothing worse than throwing down money on a new wardrobe only to find that you can’t actually wear anything you purchased. Don’t get me wrong, I love getting back into shape, but I hate wearing clothes that don’t fit.
My plan is to get to my goal size (probably in the next 2-3 weeks) and then do my real shopping. The only thing on my list is some new bras, a pair of rockin’ jeans, and dresses, dresses, and more dresses!
I personally have a few requirements that all dresses I purchase must meet. I love dresses that show off my shoulders (my favorite body part), I don’t care for flowing dresses on or below my knees, and they have to be well fitted. If they are loose waist that’s fine, as long as they are fitted up top. Okay, so I guess I’m super picky about dresses, but hey, we all have our preferences.
Here are a few Andrew Marc dresses I would wear:
Even though I’m such a clutz, I adore white dresses. They just scream summer and make me feel at peace. I also love lace and two-layer dresses.
These are two dresses I would wear out on the town with my husband. Minus the boots of course! I like longer, darker dresses when I go out at night. Both of these are below the knee, but I love that the black one is layered shorter underneath.
So what do you think? What are your favorite kinds of dresses, or do you even like dresses at all?
