Hi, and welcome to Faithfully Free!
I (Shasta) started my first online journal in 2007 when I was pregnant with first daughter Alexis and eventually began what would become Faithfully Free in 2009 just a few days before my second daughter Anna was born. I’m not sure what made me think I should start a blog days before I gave birth to my fourth child but the timing was perfect, and it blossomed into the most successful business I’ve ever owned.
Over the years my passions have changed, and this blog has grown and changed with it. I am so excited to announce that this year (2016) my mom finally made it official and joined me as a full-time contributor to the site, so Faithfully Free is officially a mother-daughter blog now! Anyone who knows us personally knows that we are best friends and that this is a partnership made in heaven! 🙂
About Shasta Walton:
I am a Coast Guard wife and mother of four amazing sweethearts. My boys, Jordan (13) and John (12) are attending their first STEM school this year and love MINECRAFT, PokemonGo, and Robotics. My girls Alexis (8) and Anna (6) are addicted to clothes, love to crafts, and watch way too many YouTube videos about desserts and unwrapping surprise eggs!
I enjoy writing about my marriage, divorce, and remarriage because I feel like my experience can help other women. I also enjoy sharing recipes, family travel tips, and sharing my favorite brands with women in a way that is relevant to them. My goal has always been to share my life in a way that helps encourage and inspire women to live life to the fullest!

About Sherri Spivey:
When I married my quartermaster sweetheart in the United States Navy back in 1982, it was the best thing I ever did. As a result, we have matured from a family of two into our terrific family of 17. As much as I enjoyed motherhood, becoming a grandmother, nine times has trumped that. Since Shasta asked me to join her on the blog, I left my full-time job of over 20 years and haven’t looked back. Working with her has been a blessing in too many ways to list here.
I have a passion for crafts and DIY projects. It helps that I married a very creative man, which is a recipe for adventure! I love writing about, and sharing, what we create, and hope that I inspire our readers to create anything their hearts desire. My goal is to leave our readers with the feeling that the glass is always more than half full and that the sky is the limit.
