St. Patrick’s Day Tootsie Roll Bank Craft

Sharing is caring!

I have been making Tootsie Roll Bank crafts for years. I made my first one for Valentine’s Day a few years ago, and I couldn’t believe how excited the kids were. My grandchildren love saving change, so they are always asking for piggy banks (they may also be hoarders). These banks are perfect because they are only $1 and the kids love getting themed banks for every holiday. Of course, being filled with candy makes this bank even more fun, so this is a highly requested gift. This craft costs less than $2 to make, so it’s a great craft for me because I have eight grandchildren!

If you don’t like Tootsie Rolls, you can always empty out the bank and add any candy you like, as well as small gifts/toys.

St. Patrick’s Day Tootsie Roll Bank Craft:

– Tootsie Roll Bank Can (Dollar Tree)
– Double-Sided Tape
– St. Patrick’s Day Scrapbook Paper (cut as follows)
– (2) 1 inch wide strips that are 8 ½ inches long
– (1)  3 ½ inch wide strip that is 8 ½ inches long
– Embellishments (your choice)

Note: Use double-sided tape to attach the paper to the bank. This is the only adhesive that will keep the paper on the bank.

Step 1. Tape the 3 ½ inch wide strip to the center of the bank.

Step 2. Tape the 1 inch wide strips to the top and bottom of the bank.

Step 3. Tape your embellishments to the front of the bank.
