~I have been selected by Tap Influence to be a spokesperson for Marie Callender’s While I have been compensated for my time, my opinions are my own.

Navy-Living

For many people the military is a way of life. For me, the US Navy is the reason I’m alive. No, I wasn’t rescued by a Navy Seal, but my story is equally as crazy and awesome.

My parents were fresh out of boot camp, and they were enjoying some free time hanging around a pool in Orlando, when their worlds collided. They knew each other for two days when my dad asked my mom to marry him. She said no at first, but two weeks later they were getting married, and the following year, they welcomed me into the world.

My husband and I decided to carry on the family tradition by joining the US Coast Guard. Then a few years ago, my little brother joined the US Army. My family has served in every branch of the military. My grandpa was in the Army and the Air Force. My uncle and cousins were in the Marines. We take this military thing seriously, and we’ve covered all of our bases!

The military will always have a special place in my heart, even when our days of service are over. So many men and women go unrecognized for the service they provide for our country. We live protected and lay our heads down at night without fear because men and women from all over the US are willing to lay down their lives for us.

That’s why I love partnering with brands who understand that sacrifice the members of the military and their families make each day.
